About Us

Gardnerville Elks Lodge with mountains in the background.

Pull up to 1227 Kimmerling Rd and you'll notice something right away: the parking lot is freshly paved, the grounds are kept, and people wave at strangers. That's not an accident. The members of Lodge #2670 put real work into this place, and it shows in every corner from the main hall to the RV hookup sites out back.

With a 4.7-star rating earned from dozens of honest reviews, this lodge has built a reputation across the RV community and the broader Carson Valley region as a place where you're treated like you belong, even on your first visit. Guests at events routinely describe the atmosphere as feeling like family, which is exactly the kind of lodge the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks was built to create.

The lodge sits conveniently off Kimmerling Road with easy in-and-out access, 50-amp electric hookups for RV travelers, and a facility the membership is genuinely proud of. Whether you're a longtime Elk, a traveling member stopping through Nevada, or a local resident exploring membership, you'll find the door open and the welcome real.

What We Offer

Lodge #2670 offers a full slate of member programming, community events, and charitable initiatives rooted in the Elks' national mission. The main hall hosts dinners, fundraisers, and social gatherings throughout the year, giving members a gathering place that feels nothing like a banquet hall rental.

For RV travelers, the lodge operates a dedicated RV area with 5 spaces featuring 50-amp electric and water hookups, new asphalt, and easy pull-through access. The price is hard to beat, and the Elks RV app lists this location for members on the road across the country. Note that sewer hookups are not currently available on site.

Beyond the physical amenities, membership opens doors to Elks National Foundation scholarships, youth programs, veterans' support initiatives, and a network of lodges across the United States. Local community giving is a cornerstone of what Lodge #2670 does every single year in Gardnerville and the surrounding Douglas County area.

"5 spaces 50 amp electric. Water at site 5 if the camper in site 5 doesn’t have it hooked up to their RV 🤣. They probably don’t know that it is shared. The Elks RV camper app says there is a dump 3 miles down the road but I am not sure where it is. It doesn’t show up on RV Dump app. $20 per night 7 night max. We were there on Monday lodge was not open."

"Overnight Pit-Stop That Didn’t Quite Hit the Mark at Tahoe/Douglas Elks Lodge This past Friday night my girlfriend (an Elk member) and I pulled our 32-footer into Tahoe/Douglas Elks Lodge #2670 at 1227 Kimmerling Rd. We’d had a long day on the road and were looking forward to a cold beer and maybe some lodge grub before calling it a night. Unfortunately, the building was dark and the doors were locked—no posted hours, and no one answered the phone—so our plans for a friendly lodge evening fizzled on arrival. First impressions of the property itself are positive: the grounds look well kept, and the lodge façade is inviting. Just inside the entrance, five paved RV pads sit off to the left, each with 30-amp electric and water. We didn’t need the hookups this trip, but it’s nice to know they’re there. The trade-off is location: those pads back right up to Kimmerling Road, and steady traffic through the evening translated into noticeable road noise inside the rig. Because check-in wasn’t an option, my girlfriend left a courtesy voicemail letting the lodge know we were overnighting. From there we headed into Minden for dinner and returned late just to sleep. The lot felt safe and was reasonably level, but the traffic rumble persisted until well after midnight. By morning we were back on the highway before ever meeting lodge staff. Bottom line: If you need a quick, paved overnight with power and water, these pads do the job—just be ready for traffic noise and be sure to call ahead if you’re hoping to enjoy lodge hospitality. We’d stop again in a pinch, but next time we’ll confirm opening hours first (or look for a quieter spot a little farther off the road)."
